　エトローグ / エスローグはユダヤの仮庵 (かりいお) の祭に使う果実「シトロン」のこと。ルーラブ (lulav) といわれるシュロの枝とともに収穫のシンボルである。綴りは様々あり、しばしば語頭は大文字で書き、複数形は -s を付け加えるほか、 -im を付加するものがある。ヘブライ語の語源は「シトロン」のことで、英語の初出は一八七四年。この単語は「シトロンの木」を指したり、限定詞として用いられることがある。
