The oak, living long & growing tall & great, was the divine tree for the ancient Celtic people. It is called the “monarch of the forest,” & considered the symbol of hospitality & patriotism (tree) & of bravery (leaf) in Britain. This proverb means that a great person was born a little baby, or a great enterprise starts at a small business.
