On the Continent of Native Americans, or the New World which the European called, there was once a young hero admired as the Peacemaker --- Hiawatha, who had made up a strong unity of five nations: Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, & Seneca. Since then, they avoided warfare & resolved problems by talks peacefully & democratically. In 1722, they welcomed to shelter Tuscarora survivors of a war in North Carolina fought between the Tuscarora & the white European settlers from 1711 to 15, who had immigrated to the territory of the Five Nations, where the British named New York & Pennsylvania; & then, the Five Nations shifted to the Six Nations. The confederacy, which they formed, can be considered the first United Nations on Earth, which is partly a model of the federal system of the United States of America, & also the present-day world-wide United Nations. They have left a more legacy to us --- today’s proverb:
In our every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations.
