John Ruskin, English essayist, tells us on the viewpoint of economics about life most radically: “There is no life but wealth.” Henri Amiel, Swiss philosopher, tells us we also must need health: “In health there is freedom.” In a formula to build wealth enough for a man, by Elbert Hubbard (1856-1915), American soap salesman, artisan community founder, publisher, & philosopher, happiness is added to health:
→There is no life but wealthIf you have health, you probably will be happy, and if you have health and happiness, you have all the wealth you need, even if it is not all you want.
英国の随筆家ジョン・ラスキンは人生について経済学の視点から根源的に「命の他に富はなし」と述べている。スイスの哲人アンリ・アミエルは健康でなければならず、「健康に自由あり」と教えている。アメリカの石鹸のセールスマンで、職人組合の創設者であり、出版人にして哲学者のエルバート・ハバードによる、必要な富を築く公式では、幸福に健康が加えられている。
健康であれば、幸せになれるでしょうし、健康で幸せであれば、たとえそれだけでは満足できないとしても、必要な富は揃っているのです。
