Semele

セメレはギリシャの酒神ディオニュソスの母親である。(See Dionysus)

As the son of Semele, Dionysus is a first cousin of Oedipus's mother, Jocasta, who in some traditions was also a grandchild of Cadmus.
セメレの息子であるディオニュソスは、いくつかの言い伝えによれば、カドモスの孫であるオイディプスの母親イオカステのいとこである。

この固有名詞はプリュギア語で大地母神を指すゼメローがギリシャ語に訛ったものであるらしい。もしそうだとすると、「地、土」を指す印欧祖語と関係があることになる。
