Go Even If You Can See Nothing

Life is often compared to an odyssey. In the long voyage, we sometimes must go into an uncharted, unknown area to seek some treasure. In The Advancement of  Learning (1605) by Francis Bacon (1561-1626), English philosopher, there is a suggestion that you should keep your mind sound, when you are sailing on the sea of worry and fear:

They are ill discoverers that think there is no land, when they can see nothing but sea.
