お告げ、告知。
ほとんどの場合、宗教的な意味で、
天使ガブリエルによるマリアへの受胎告知を指す。

処女懐妊の告知はコーランにも見出せる。

 The Annunciation is also found in the Qu'ran.

お告げあったのは三月二十五日だったので、
その日を「お告げの祝日」という。
語形からも察せられるように、
この単語は外来語「アナウンス」と同系で、
ラテン語の「伝える者」の要素から来ている。
動詞 (annunciate) は「伝える (announce)」こと。
